Scott County High School | New Construction Standing Seam & SBS Membrane Roofing
Scott County High School was built as a new construction campus for general contractor D.W. Wilburn, Inc., encompassing the main academic building along with supporting athletic facilities.
On the main building, American Roofing and Metal furnished and installed a Tremco standing seam metal roof system and a Tremco SBS modified bituminous membrane roof system, cold-applied, across the building’s various roof areas. Metal composite material wall panels and a custom cornice were also furnished and installed along the building exterior. Roof-associated sheet metal flashing, coping caps, counter flashing, scuppers, downspouts, collector heads, edge metal, and gutters, was shop-fabricated from Tremco flat sheet stock to complete the roofing system. Two 30″x54″ single-leaf lid roof hatches were installed with safety railing and ladder-assist posts for roof access.
American Roofing and Metal’s scope also extended to the campus’s athletic facilities, including roofing work on the athletic complex support building adjacent to the baseball field and the covered grandstand seating canopy at the stadium.
