SAFETY DAY SPRING 2026
On Friday, April 24th, American Roofing and Metal did something most companies in our industry simply don’t do.
WE SHUT IT ALL DOWN.
Every active jobsite. Every crew. The whole company.
Not because of an incident. Not because of a regulation. Because we believe that investing in the people who do the work is the most important thing a company can do.
Spring Safety Day 2026 brought together our entire team for a half-day of hands-on safety training. It’s something we’ve done twice a year for years, and something we’ll keep doing, because the cost of not doing it is one we’re not willing to pay.
THIS YEAR, SOMETHING NEW HAPPENED.
For the first time, we opened Safety Day to our vendor partners and the response was remarkable. What started as an internal commitment has grown into something much bigger. This spring, for the first time in our 112 year history, we opened Safety Day to our vendor partners, transforming it into a community-wide investment in safer job sties across all of Kentuckiana.

MORE THAN $12,000 RAISED IN SPONSORSHIPS
The first-ever, Safety Day open to those outside our walls generated over $12,000 in sponsor contributions. And not just financial ones, EquipmentShare donated a power tool raffled off during the main session and they also covered our lunch expense, which is significant when you are feeding over 300 people. My good friend Josh McMillian at Geiger donated our banners and we had an incredible team from Milwaukee Tools setup a booth with safety tools and gear, AND they donated several gifts we raffled off to our crew members. Amazing.
This is a powerful testament to the fact that safety matters to the entire roofing and construction industry, not just our team. We are incredibly grateful to every partner who invested in this event and helped us raise the bar for what a Safety Day can be.
A DAY BUILT AROUND OUR PEOPLE
The morning kicked off with a pancake breakfast, followed by a full structured schedule of safety classes, interactive competitions, and live demonstrations. Crews rotated through sessions covering everything from fall protection and PPE to emergency response. All designed to be engaging, memorable, and directly applicable to the work our teams do every day.

Roofing is one of the most hazardous trades in the country. We take that seriously. Safety Day isn’t a checkbox, it’s a lived commitment woven into the fabric of who we are as a company. We are purpose-driven in everything we do. That means investing in our people so that every crw that shows up to a job site is highly skilled, well-trained, and committed to protecting each other and the customers who trust us with their homes and businesses.
This is what it looks like to LOVE WHAT YOU DO!
