American Roofing Gives Back to the Community
American Roofing & Metal enjoys giving back to our community. In partnership with a variety of local contractors and under the guidance of Esposito Construction, American Roofing & Metal took part in the building of Jenna’s Playhouse.
Jenna’s Playhouse was part of an annual event that is a combined effort of Building Industry Charitable Foundation, Kosair Charities, YouthBuild Louisville, and area contractors. Jenna, a five year old who has spastic diplegia cerebral palsy, and another child were selected this year for a playhouse of their own. Jenna met with her builder, Jeremy Esposito, of Esposito Construction, to share what she wanted and how she imagined it might look.
As part of the build, the American Roofing & Metal team installed an EcoStar Synthetic Slate system with copper flashings, valleys, snow guards, and ridge. While this is a playhouse, it imitates an actual roof system that could be applied to one's home or business.
The playhouse was on display at the 2014 Louisville Home and Garden Show at Kentucky Exposition Center. Afterwards it was delivered to Jenna’s house where she began to have what will be years of enjoyment to come.
